Whole School Challenges
Every week, you have the option of completing Mrs Groves' Whole School Challenge. Remember, you don't have to do these challenges but if you do decide to have a go, we would love to see what you create!
1st - 5th March
It's the final week of remote learning! We are SO proud of everything you have done this term and cannot wait to see you all back in school next week.
As you know, this week we are celebrating World Book Day. Here are a range of books that you might not have read before: if you click on one of the book covers, you will be taken to a video clip of the author reading an extract. You might find your next book to enjoy from this virtual library! A big "Thank you!" to alittlebutalot.com for this fantastic resource.
You could then choose one of the activities to celebrate World Book Day from the ideas below:
22nd - 26th February
One of my favourite things to do is to listen to and play music; I can't wait for us to be able to sing and create music together again! Your challenge this week is to create your own music but don't panic if you haven't got any instruments, this challenge is all about creating your own! There are different ideas shared in the links below - you might end up forming a house band!
You could play your creations along to a piece of music of your choice, or you might compose an original piece. Either way, we would love you to share these on Seesaw! Happy music making!
8th - 12th February
During assembly on Friday, we reflected upon the achievements of Captain Sir Tom Moore; it was a really special moment for the whole school to come together and complete our 100 second applause to commemorate his life.
Click on the pictures to find out about Captain Sir Tom's life and for some questions to think about.
Now you have learnt about his life, can you set yourself a challenge of doing something 100 times to commemorate his life? This could be through an exercise like Captain Sir Tom, drawing or completing an activity for 100 minutes. We would love to see photographs of your challenges on Seesaw!
1st - 5th February
As you know from our whole school assembly on Friday, this week it is Children's Mental Health Week. We have spent a lot of time in school thinking about why it is so important to keep our minds healthy, as well as our bodies. The theme of this week is 'Express Yourself': here is an assembly for you to watch.Children's Mental Health Week Assembly
