School Meals
Our school lunches are delivered in to school by Red Hen Cookery School.
From September 2014, funding was made available from central government for the provision of free school meals for pupils in all Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.
Unfortunately, following the withdrawal of the additional small schools' grant (after the second year of the policy), like many other small, rural schools, we aren't able to implement the government directive without using some of our precious education budget to subsidise the scheme.
Paid-for meals cost £2.40 per day.
Meals are ordered weekly online, from a link emailed weekly to parents.
Parents in receipt of qualifying benefits are entitled to claim free school meals for all of their children. Check if your child is eligible for free meals here.
Milk
Many parents like to take the opportunity to order milk for their child to drink during the morning.
Milk is ordered termly. Currently the cost is 21p per day.
Order reminders are made in the newsletter and through Twitter, and payment deadlines will be posted on our website calendar.
Fledglings pupils are entitled to free milk until their fifth birthday.
