SENDIASS

SENDIASS are the SEND Information, Advice and Support Service covering Herefordshire and Worcestershire. They have a dedicated team of advisors offering legally-based and easily accessible information and advice about special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). SENDIASS support parents, carers, children and young people with SEND and their service is impartial and confidential.

 

Families in Partnership (Worcestershire)

Families in Partnership Worcestershire is the Parent Carer Forum for Worcestershire. They are an independent group of Parent Carers of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) who work alongside social care, health and education to make sure the services and support being provided meets the needs of you children and young people living in Worcestershire.

 

Parent Carer Voice (Herefordshire)

Whilst our school is in Worcestershire and therefore is covered by the Worcestershire Local Offer we know that some families live in Herefordshire. Parent Carer Voice is led by a Steering group of parents in Herefordshire who are working alongside the Local Authority and Health partnerships (ICS) to ensure that the needs of Children & Young People up to the age of 25 years with Additional & Special Educational Needs are being met.

Starting Well Partnership 

The Starting Well Partnership provides information on support groups in the local area for the families of children with SEND.

 

Raring 2 go!

Raring 2 go! is an information service that provides information on a wide range of clubs and activities available in the local area. Many of these clubs are suitable for or even targeted at children with SEND. Click here for a specific page of SEND-friendly groups, though they are not all in this area as this specific blog was developed by the Kidderminster and Dudley branch of Raring 2 go!

 

Parents' Voice

The Parents' Voice website is run by an independent group of Worcestershire parents for all parents and family carers. They aim to keep parents informed and up to date about services, groups and events, and to be their voice in Worcestershire by passing on their feedback where appropriate.


Hub of Hope

This website allows you to search your post code and find out about local services available near to you. These include adult and child support and include support with additional needs, bereavement, mental health and addiction. 

 

Speech, Language and Communication Pathway

Autism West Midlands

Autism West Midlands are the leading charity in the West Midlands for people on the autism spectrum. They use their expertise to enrich the lives of autistic people and those who love and care for them. Staff and volunteers work across all age groups and abilities, providing direct support. 

 

Crossroads Together

Crossroads Together provide practical support for unpaid carers who look after someone with a disability, illness, mental health problem or an addiction.

Look is a small local charity which connects and supports visually impaired children, young people and their families.

 

Marches Family Network

Marches Family Network offer support, respite and social opportunities for disabled children and advice, assistance and friendship for their families.

The National Deaf Children's Society offer a range of services, information and support for deaf children, young people and their families.
