Fledglings Weeks 1 and 2

Weeks 1&2: What a wonderful start to the year! The children are really settling into routines and enjoying exploring the classroom. We are in for such a wonderful year together.

Fledglings Week 3

Week 3: We really enjoyed the book 'Incredible You' this week. We thought about all of the things that make us incredible, said incredible things about each other and been incredibly kind!

Fledglings Week 4

Week 4: This week we explored 'The Family Book.' We talked about our own families, shared family memories, built homes for different families and thought about the things that make families special.

Fledglings Week 5

Week 5: We were really inspired by the book 'The Can Caravan.' We explored different types of homes, the homes we live in and why people might need different types of home. We had lots of fun junk modelling different homes and painting an enormous town as a team.

Fledglings Week 6

Week 6: The children have been so grown-up this week when talking about their feelings, linked to our Book of the Week 'Ruby's Worry.' We have thought about what might worry us and how we can respond when we are worried. We designed our own helping hands, where we drew around our hands and drew one person we could talk to on each finger. We have also thought about how we make others feel and how important it is to be kind and helpful. In Maths, we enjoyed exploring circles and triangles! We have also been getting ready for the Harvest Festival by making our own Combine Harvester art which the children are really proud of! We hope to see you at next week's Harvest Festival!
